FrameWorks
The FrameWorks Institute is dedicated to finding and using narratives and
framing that drive the changes we need to make the world more equitable,
sustainable, and just.
Through a rigorous, award-winning research process, we study how people
do—and could—think about social issues in order to inform the strategy and
communications of those working to advance social justice. For more than 25
years, FrameWorks’ interdisciplinary team of social scientists, communications
practitioners, issue experts, and narrative and cultural strategists has used that
research to equip fields and movements to shift mindsets and change culture.
Our work is only as effective as our collaboration. Together with our partners,
we’re working to move public thinking and discourse away from individualistic
explanations of problems toward systemic explanations; from othering and
excluding marginalized groups toward togetherness and solidarity; and from a
fatalistic resignation about the future to a pragmatic sense of collective efficacy
and hope that a better world is possible.
